KUALA LUMPUR: MCA Youth will lodge a police report in connection with an alleged three-man snoop squad and the Dr Chua Soi Lek sex video clip today to enable the police to investigate.

The wing’s secretary-general Dr Wee Ka Siong said this would help everyone to clear his name as well as bring to book those involved.

“For the sake of the party, the Youth wing does not want to let the people feel that the MCA has something to hide.

“We would rather leave it to the police to find the truth and this is the best solution. Leaders found to be not involved in the issue should not face any insinuation by anyone anymore,” said Dr Wee.

He was speaking to reporters after the wing’s chief Datuk Liow Tiong Lai contributed RM100,000 to The Star’s Sichuan Quake Fund on behalf of the wing.

The cheque was handed over to Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Cheng Yong Hua yesterday.

There were allegations that a snoop squad was set up to spy on rivals of MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting and a three-man panel of inquiry was set up to investigate the existence of the squad.

Petaling Jaya Utara division executive adviser Wong Leong had named Liow, who is also Health Minister, Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Wee Jeck Seng and former Gerakan Belia Bersatu leader Tee Ann Chuan as the squad members.

Liow had demanded that Dr Chua apologise to him after the latter hinted that Liow was linked to the snoop squad and the sex video clip.
